Send It Up was a duo exhibition by Jesse Bond and Leroy Winter, presented at Material Room in Richmond, Virginia, from November 8 to November 21. The exhibition featured a collection of collaboratively made paintings and sculptures installed in dense proximity, overwhelming the space as objects spilled from the ceiling and pressed through the gallery walls. Abraham Lincoln appears alongside a sea of palm trees, tie dye, crawling babies, and glowing penguins. At irregular intervals sounds shot out of the paintings while the pile of paper mâché flutes at Abraham Lincoln’s feet vibrated aggressively.
